STEAMcon

AAS steamcon

This year, Ask A Scientist is hosting Knoxville’s first STEAMcon event!  This event will highlight and communicate a broad range of features related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. The main goal of STEAMcon is to make STEAM topics relatable, immersive, engaging, and tangible to the public through science communication.

STEAMcon will host local groups from all over East Tennessee to share their particular STEAM-related expertise with the general public. The goal of this event is to showcase how STEAM topics contribute to the community in diverse ways and allow a venue for interactive communication for those from all backgrounds who may be interested in such topics or wish to learn more. Topic examples include brewery science, public health monitoring, sustainable agriculture, architecture and city planning, computer software development, and animal conservation.

The event will run from 10 AM – 4 PM on July 28th and 29th at the World’s Fair Exhibition Hall 1 located at 935 World’s Fair Park, Knoxville TN, 37902. This event is free and open to the public, all ages welcome.
